This CTLE course is an asynchronous course designed for educators who seek to enhance students’ literacy skills across various content areas from kindergarten through 12th grade. Literacy is a fundamental skill that extends beyond reading and writing; it includes the ability to comprehend, analyze, and communicate information effectively in all subjects. This course provides practical strategies and resources for integrating literacy instruction into diverse content areas, including math, science, social studies, and the arts.
Participants will explore methods to scaffold literacy development, adapt teaching practices to support diverse learners, and create a literacy-rich environment that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of this course, educators will be equipped with the tools necessary to reinforce literacy skills that are essential for student success across all academic disciplines.
