In the wake of modified college admission policies and requirements due to COVID-19, parents and students must navigate uncertain testing timelines, develop virtual college lists, and more. This presentation and Q&A will offer tips for students at any point along the road to college. Whether your child is nearing the end of their junior year, or just beginning their high school journey, it’s never too early to get a sense of and prepare for what lies ahead. We’ll provide key suggestions for developing a more competitive application portfolio amid today’s rapidly changing educational landscape. Having endured the first cycle of college admissions during the pandemic in 2020, we’re equipped with expert insight into what you can do today to make a difference tomorrow.

Parent’s Guide to Student Success: Online, Hybrid, & In-Person

Join us for this presentation and Q&A session as we draw from our over two decades of education experience, 15 years of online learning expertise, and programs that directly address the core of what students need to do well this year and beyond! Facing the dynamics of in-person, online, or hybrid schooling, parents have a unique challenge in supporting their children’s learning: consistency and calmness. We will focus on ways parents can best guide their student’s success and help reduce stress, finding resources and tactics that ensure we get through the day, week, and school year, all while keeping the momentum of learning going, too. Learn how to set goals, organize time, get ahead, solve problems early, become more efficient with studying, balance academics with extracurriculars, and how to reimagine student success, holistically. We will explore new ways to set appropriate grade goals, cultivate balanced student lifestyles, communicate effectively with educators, and manage digital engagement.
We hope to address your questions, provide helpful strategies, and mitigate some of the stress all of us, as parents, are feeling! Learn how to plan the year so students can live the day.

Preparing for Online Learning During Coronavirus

As schools and universities, along with place of work, close for short or longer term durations, online communication and learning is going to be a critical tool. Whether using Zoom™, Skype™, or Google Hangouts™, students and parents will need to rethink their day to ensure learning persists. Together, let us calmly navigate to maintain a sense of normalcy for our children in particular. We will explore how a structured day, with expectations around when to study vs. when to play (digital or otherwise), how to use online resources, and best communication practices, your child is less likely to lose momentum and may even turn this challenging time into a way to explore other avenues of learning that could be helpful to know. We welcome your feedback on topics of interest.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
